It is estimated nearly 50-60% of homeowners are over assessed by the National Taxpayers Union.
Consumer Reports has published that property tax records show an error rate of 40% exists in estimating property taxes. (Nov. 1992 v57 nil p 723)
The National Taxpayers Union writes that as many as 60% of all homeowners are over-assessed and not in line with their home value.

charge a $125 (Reg $149) property analysis fee for us to research and inspect your property to determine if you would qualify for a reduction.
~ If we determine you would qualify for a change in assessment our team will go to work on your behalf to get your assessments changed to the appropriate amount. You never pay a fee unless we are successful. 
~ If we are able to get your assessments
lowered you will only pay a small 
percentage of the savings.
~ Typical fees are 35% of the first years savings, 25% of the second years savings and 20% of the third year. Being a member of IAN also allows you discounts on all aspects of your home as well as a 5% discount on your fees for a property tax case.
